Fighting Fire With Fire
Fighting Fire With Fire

Donald Trump threw a protestor out of a campaign rally on Friday. Why? Because his ideas are shitty, and shitty ideas require censorship to survive. Unsurprisingly, it wouldn’t be the first time Trump has done this, and it likely won’t be the last, but this one attracted the attention of liars—which is precisely why I give a shit this time.
For those who have better shit to be doing on a Friday, and therefore missed this farce, let me catch you up. A prominent Muslim activist (and seemingly genuine, reasonable lady), Rose Hamid was ejected from a Trump rally Friday for literally standing up (in protest) whilst wearing a shirt that read “Salam. I come in Peace,” whilst Trump rehashed some bullshit rhetoric about Syrian refugees being ISIS members.
Well, at least, that’s what the Illuminati would have you believe—according to Mac Slavo.
“But as has often been the case with political plants at Republican events, the public was only given part of the story.”
Well no, Mac. The public was given only the parts of the story that mattered; the things you’re about to bring up are, in no way, relevant to the story. This is a story about a woman who was booted out of a political rally because she took issue with the xenophobic rhetoric of one, Donald S. Trump. (I don’t know if that’s his middle name, but it just sounds right.)
Mac’s real story, apparently, is not of Trump’s actions in the present, but of Hamid’s in the past.
“In reality, Rose Hamid isn’t a silent follower of the religion a [sic] peace, but rather, an ardent supporter of Jihadist activities.”
An ardent supporter? Maybe. I don’t know. I only put this bit in here to highlight your spelling error. I honestly don’t know anything about the Palestinian/Israeli conflict(s), and therefore I’m not going to comment on it.
Breitbart, Mac’s main source for this article, showcases some Facebook comments of Hamid’s, so take a look for yourself and make the decision. I, personally, don’t give a shit because I fail to see the relevance.
“Moreover, she personally promoted an event held by one of the terrorists responsible for the bombing of the World Trade Centers in 1993 and by doing so directly supported his calls for the creation of an Islamic state under Sharia law in the United States of America.”
And with one accusation Mac evolves from regurgitating idiot to abject liar. The boldface is a blatant lie; I don’t even know where he got the idea. The most bewildering part is that the quote from Breitbart—which Mac displays in the article, which Mac is using as his source—contradicts him.
“Hamid’s Muslim Women of the Carolinas group has in the past promoted an event with Imam Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted coconspirator in the trial of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.”
More than that, Breitbart’s source for this accusation is Steven Emerson’s website Investigative Project on Terrorism, which states that Wahhaj was not charged with a crime; he merely appeared on a list of unindicted co-conspirators. He was not “responsible” for the terrorist attacks. Whilst Wahhaj’s extremist opinions are abhorrent, they don’t give people like Mac free reign to label him as a terrorist and murderer.
Allow me to digress for a moment, however, because if we’re talking about people supporting terrorists, let’s not forget this one. It’s only fair.
Mac moves on from his blatant lies because writing original content is difficult and fabricating half-truths from that content is more difficult. Instead, he quotes Karl Denninger, one of the founders of the Tea Party Movement (since we’re focusing on people’s backgrounds in this article).
“You do not have a right to trespass on private property and disrupt an event, even silently.”
Define “private property.” Trump’s rally took place at Winthrop University; if there’s ever been a place to exercise the First Amendment, it’s a university. And if this was a private event, how did she gain access? Was she sent an invitation? Did she have a ticket (spoiler: she did)? Doesn’t sound very private to me.
It’s not even like Trump was surprised by the disturbance; they were primed for disturbances—why would they even prepare for a disturbance if the party was private? Why would Trump invite dissidents?
The saddest part is that Rose Hamid seems like a genuinely understanding person. Is she just a good bullshitter? Maybe. I’ve only known about her for a few hours.
“Once again Democrat [sic] attempting to marginalize Trump have been caught red handed trying to paint a completely false narrative.”
So let us counter with our own false narrative!
