WATCH: 3 Netflix Series that Deserve Your Attention

The Snap:

We can all stop playing hard to get now. Netflix has got most of America hook, line, and sinker, and no matter how much we mumble that they need to put some better stuff on there (true, true), we are going to keep turning to it for our nightly viewing pleasure. Embrace your toxic relationship with the creator of binge watching and enjoy three greats.

The Download:

Peaky Blinders
Cillian Murphy has been a scarecrow, your least favorite passenger on a plane, and a somber Masterpiece Theatre lead. And now he’s made a home in Birmingham post-WWI (see trailer below). The rollicking gangster show portrays post-war England that we don’t get to glimpse in Downton Abbey. Oh, and the kickass soundtrack will get you from the first scene (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds take the opening credits.. Enough said.)

Les Revenants
I’ve showered this French series with praise before on here, but the “so nice I’m mentioning it twice” cliche applies. Well, maybe “nice” isn’t the right word to describe it. The zombie-esque program features a quaint town in the Alps where dead people are suddenly coming back, without any recollection of that pesky dying detail. It’s dark and beautifully dreary and the Mogwai soundtrack is delectable. The second season just premiered in France, so you’d better get caught up on the first one stat.

Twin Peaks
Been living under a rock for a quarter of a decade? No worries. There’s still time to catch up on David Lynch’s cult classic, centered around a small town in Washington that is plagued by mystery (and magic? hmm..) You have approximately two years to catch up before the final series, awaited by fans for twenty-five years, makes its grand debut in 2016.

Take Action!
