The Snap:

La Blogotheque is back with another Takeaway Show. Jack White joined the French film crew for an afternoon where, as the crew remembers: “With their vibrations still lingering through our bones, we gave a collective last look over what had, only moments prior, been the scene of the most surreal Take Away Show we’ve ever done.”

You can watch the video at the bottom of the post.

The Download:

There are definitely two sides to Jack White. There’s the spectral modern side, the kind of guy who produces music that feels like it could compete with Justin Timberlake for air time. This is the guy whose songs beg to be played as loudly as possible.

Then there’s the side of Jack White who seems like he’s hankering to settle down in the deep south. This is the one who broke all of our hearts in Cold Mountain, who seems to be just as at home with a guitar and little else as he does on a stage in front of thousands.

This Takeaway Show is neat because it offers a slice of both of those sides. He delves into his folk roots, but also taps into his knack as a performer to create a ten-minute visual treat. Whether you are a fan of Jack White or not, it’s impossible to deny that the man’s got serious talent. And watching him wander around a palace outside Paris and seemingly at whim create such a beautiful sound… Well, it just confirms that.

Enjoy the beautiful footage and great music below:

Take Action!
