The Snap:

On 4 February, Starbucks will be releasing Sweetheart. Part of the brand’s annual series, the record will showcase modern musicians performing covers of their favorite love songs.

They’ve leaked My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James’ rendition of the Bob Marley classic, “Turn Your Lights Down Low,” which you can listen to here.

The Download:

Starbucks is at it again. This is the fifth year that they are facilitating the series, which features “handpicked covers from a remarkable group of modern musical dreamers who artfully grapple, in one way or another, with that most vexing of subject to ever befall mankind, L.O.V.E.”

In the past, they’ve featured great favorites from artists like Hey Marseilles, Katy Perry, Department of Eagles, and She & Him.

They’re clearly keeping the momentum going this year, with features from Vampire Weekend, Jim James, Fiona Apple, and other awesome artists.

Take a look at the full tracklist below, courtesy of Rolling Stone. It looks like Starbucks is showcasing a lot of great artists this year, so you mich want to add this to your “Grande Nonfat Peppermint Mocha” order.
