PART TWO OF BROKEN BELLS’ SHORT FILM RELEASED

The Snap:

Broken Bells, the dynamic duo consisting of The Shins frontman James Mercer and producer Danger Mouse, have released the second installment of their short film, After the Disco. The video, much like part one, features Anton Yelchin and the lovely Kate Mara in a trippy sci-fi drug-induced journey through space, that also includes a few samples of music from their upcoming album.

Watch Part One: Angel and the Fool and Part Two: Holding on for Life.

The Download:

The complete short film will be releasing alongside the album in January, but c’mon, what we all really want from the pair is more music. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good story – and I love Kate Mara even more – but there’s only one single available right now from After the Disco, and that’s just not cutting it for me.

They released Holding on for Life earlier this month, and it’s damn good. With a few style alterations for both Mercer and Danger Mouse, they’ve managed to create a spacey-Bee Gee’s sound that is certainly a change from what we’ve heard in the past. Their debut album in 2011 was good, sure, but nothing was quite as captivating as what we’ve already heard from their new LP, and there’s still ten more tracks to be revealed.

After the Disco will be released on January 14th, and is available for pre-order now.

Take Action!
