A LOT OF INTEREST IN SOMETHING WE ALL HATE

A LOT OF INTEREST IN SOMETHING WE ALL HATE

The Snap:

“The American People don’t want this. They do not want Obamacare.” We have been hearing that a lot from the evangelical christian party of god. So if that were true you would assume that the opening of the healthcare exchanges would meet with a fizzle.

The Download:

If the people didn’t want this then no one would have visited the online exchanges when they opened on Tuesday, October 1st. There would have been no tech hiccups due to overburdened servers. But that was not the case. The headline from CNBC was “Obamacare exchanges launch: Big volume, tech hiccups”. The volume was so great that several web servers froze due to high demand. 3 million people visited Healthcare.gov between midnight Tuesday and late afternoon. Apparently a lot of people were visiting the site of a program that they hated. Or at least that is what I expect to hear from the Tea Party. I also expect to hear that the law is a failure because there was a website glitch.

This is of course not the case. The fact is that the Tea Party has never been afraid that the law would fail. If they actually thought it would fail, they would have just let it go into effect and then used the failure as a stick to beat the Democrats over the head with in 2014 and 2016. They were afraid it would succeed. That people would like it and then they would have to live with the frightening concept of universal healthcare. What a nightmare. I think it is time to admit that the law is going to be popular.

Take Action!
