The Snap:

Chvrches, the Scottish electro-pop trio, are set to release their debut album, The Bones of What You Believe¸ on September 24th. The highly anticipated LP has already produced great singles such as The Mother We Share, Recover, and Gunand the synthesizer fun keeps rolling on with the full-length album.

You can stream the entire record before it’s released at NPR.

The Download:

Chvrches have had a lot of hype built up around their debut album in recent months. Casually rolling out three singles and an EP since late last year, they’ve developed a very large fan base that is eager to get their hands on the new collection of songs.

The already-released singles are nothing short of spectacular, and the synthpop style the band produces will have you bobbing your head and feeling fantastic in no time. The LP is 48 minutes of pure electronic intensity; so much that Neon Gold labeled the band’s music as “a godless hurricane of kinetic pop energy”.

The album’s first single to surface, The Mother We Share, portrays their style wonderfully.  The synthesizer pumps out an amazing ‘80s vibe, while the vocals – occasionally played in loops – keeps the energy high with faint hints of a sweet Scottish accent. As the lead track of the album, it throws exactly what Chvrches is all about right into your face, and if you don’t enjoy it, you might as well turn it off after track #1.

This isn’t an album completely supported by its singles, though. Many of the songs – Lungs, Science/Visions, and You Caught the Light, to name a few – keep the album from sinking between the more popular tracks, which are conveniently packed into the first half of the LP.

With the deluxe version of the album currently listed at $10.99 on Amazon, there’s no way this should be passed up on the 24th.

Take Action!
