The Download:

I’ve talked about Cults on here before. Their debut self-titled album was met with a storm of success, gaining applause from all ends of the music spectrum. After nearly two years, I’m excited to see that they’re treating fans to a second full-length album.

Their first single off Static, “I Can Hardly Make You Mine,” is three and a half minutes of frenetic appeal. The song takes on a timeless quality, feeling both nostalgic and futuristic all at once. I personally liked the slow-moving, sensual quality of “High Road” more — it’s the kind of song that forces you to chill out.

I’m looking forward to hearing what Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin pull off in Static. If it’s anything like their first foray into the music industry, then we’re in for a wonderful treat.

P.S. If your a Cults superfan, take a peek at their album teaser.

Take Action!
