The Snap:

My last few posts have been about things that I have learned on the Appalachian Trail (AT). Things that I can take back to the off-trail world. This post is slightly different. This is an updated on my progress.

The Download:

As of June 4th I have hiked the 587 miles from Springer Mountain to Bland, Virginia. I started on April 1st and have taken 18 zero days and 5 nero days. Most of the zeros have been concentrated in two segments. The first was a 4 zeros and a nero at once, so that I could visit my sister in Ashville. The second was 10 zeros in row, so that I could fly back to New York to buy a house. In addition to the miles in the southern part of the trail, I also did a day hike with Snuffy in Connecticut. So I have covered almost 600 miles so far. In addition to the miles I have covered this year, I have also section hiked approximately 420 miles of the trail between New Jersey and New Hampshire. So in total, I have now hiked over 1000 miles of the AT. That is a little less than half of the trail.

Take Action!
