ALUNAGEORGE IS ATTRACTING A LOT MORE THAN FLIES

The Snap:

AlunaGeorge – the soulful electro-pop duo from London – have released a video for the single ‘Attracting Flies’, as well as an interesting cover of the 1967 Jungle Book song ‘I Wanna Be Like You’ performed on BBC Radio. Their debut album Body Music is due out July 1st.

The Download:

Aluna Francis and George Reid may have taken a less-than-original approach to naming themselves as a group, but thankfully their music doesn’t follow that same idea. While they have yet to put out a full length album, they have shown us a few glimpses of talent in the past with singles, including ‘Your Drums, Your Love’ and ‘You Know You Like It’. Actually, if you dig through their Youtube and Spotify collections, there’s not a bad song in the bunch – which explains the high expectations for Body Music.

The gorgeous Aluna Francis’ voice combines wonderfully with the electronic side of the pair, together creating an upbeat, hip, and powerful sound. Their singles have gotten them a lot of attention thus far, and a summer release of the new album will only increase that number. You can get a fun little remix of ‘Attracting Flies’ for the price of your email address at AlunaGeorge’s official website, or get the real deal song on iTunes, as well as their previous releases.

Btw, has anyone ever pulled off the ‘little red riding hood look‘ better than Aluna does?

I didn’t think so.
