TEA PARTY DIVIDING THE GOP? NO WE ARE SAVING IT.

The Snap:

Last night was the annual State Of The Union Address. I did not watch it. As is the custom, the GOP gave a rebuttal speech immediately following the address. However this year, as we have for the last several years, we got a bonus rebuttal that we could also ignore. Rand Paul delivered the Tea Party rebuttal. At least the choice of Rand Paul is better than their previous choices of Michelle Bachman and Herman Cain.

The Download:

Rand Paul has denied that this rebuttal will divide the GOP. After all, having multiple rebuttals to a presidential address is clearly a strong sign of unity. There is obviously so much that Obama has done wrong that no one individual could possibly cover all of it. That is why the evangelical christian part of god has created an entire network to focus exclusively on Obama’s failures — Fox “News.”

However, despite the denial that the Tea Party is not splitting the party, there are clearly signs that they are. There have been multiple articles about this exact topic. This is a position that they will vigorously deny. The Tea Party position is not that they are dividing the party but that they are saving it from the radical liberal hippies that have infiltrated it. People like Karl Rove, with his new PAC that is focused on electing unprincipled “moderates” in the primaries. Any good Tea Party member knows what moderate is code for — Muslim, socialist, atheists and homosexuals who are dedicated to the destruction of good honest christians who are committed to real family values. So of course they need to issue their own rebuttal. Who knows what that establishment immigrant-loving leftist Marco Rubio is going to say in his rebuttal.
