THE NEED FOR A BETTER IT SECURITY APPROACH

The Snap:

We are moving at the end of this year. My lease is up and we have decided not to renew. As a result, we need to do a bunch of IT related things like changing addresses for banks, cable, etc. This requires logging into websites that I have not visited since we set up the services.

The Download:

The problem is that every web site is password protected. Now I understand that security is required, but what I have a problem with is that every site seams to have different password requirements so that you cannot use the same password for every site. This leads to the problem of trying to remember what you might have used for the cable TV password 2 years ago. When you can’t remember, you have to resort to the customer service and end up in the phone tree from hell.

There has to be a better approach to this. I have started looking into cloud password apps to store the non-critical website passwords. Things like the cable, utilities, Facebook, etc. I do not think that this approach should be used for important sites like financial sites, but the non-critical ones this might be the best option. Does anyone have experience with apps like these?
