Joe Biden and Paul Ryan

Muhahaha!

The Snap

Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan squared off Thursday night in the only VP debate of the 2012 election year. Moderated by ABC News reporter Martha Raddatz, the debate covered a wide range of foreign policy and domestic topics. The event took place as polls show an increasingly tight presidential race.

ICYMI, here’s a brief recap: Biden laughed and smiled condescendingly. A lot. Ryan played it straight, kept a mostly serious tone, and tried to win over the hearts and minds of right-leaning undecided voters. And the conversation between the two? Well, here’s a summary:

Biden: Blah blah blah, blah blah {condescending smile}. Blah blah, blah blah, malarkey. Blah blah blah, Republican  Congress. Blah blah. Blah, my friend here, blah. Blah blah blah blah, Afghans do the job, step up. Blah blah blah, blah blah, blah. Blah, not mathematically possible. Blah, Iran. Blah blah blah, the President.

Ryan: Blah blah, Obama Administration. Blah blah blah, blah blah, blah blah {smirk}. Blah, blah, Ayatollahs, blah. Blah blah blah bipartisan. Blah blah blah, give our enemies time lines, blah. Blah, no apologies.

In a nutshell, nothing substantive. No TKOs. No minds changed. Carry on with your lives.
